This is mainly bout the Ariticles of confederation

What is a Article of confederation?

--It was a constitution written during the American Revolution.
--Tried to establish the powers of the Nation Government

They had problems? Say what?

• Well the articles was weak
• Congress had no power to TAX or regulate COMMERCE (trade)
• Only one vote for each state
• Didn't have an Executive or Judical branch

There are like 5 problems we are required to know

Number 1

• It was weak (uh duh)
• Gave the states authority over their own affairs (let them do whatever, states had the most power)

Number 2

• Congress basicly couldn't do nothing much
• Their authority was limited
• The powers Congress didn't have, the states did
• Congress could declare war and peace but cannot levy taxes
• They could make laws, but the states didn't have to follow them
• Crazy huh?

Number 3

• N0 C0MM0N CURRENCY, THiS MEANS M0NEY...Y0U KN0W, D0LLAH D0LLAH BiLLS YALL

Number 4

• The states only had one vote
• It was really meant to make things equal
• But uh, the people thought otherwise
• Many people thought representation should be based on the # of people in the state.
• states with the most people should have more votes

And Number 5

• No executive of Judical branch
• Uhm, well that ain't gonna work.
• Who's gonna CARRY out the laws?
• How are you gonna tell if laws are fair?
• How people gonna obey the laws?
• yeah, thats a problem.
